My name is Jodie Loose and I am delighted to be teaching grade 2 again this year. My goal as a teacher is to help my students become engaged and empower them to be responsible for their learning. We will be finding and using a variety of techniques and strategies to appeal to different passions and learning styles. I love learning along with my students and want every child in my class to realize how good it feels to experience success.
I grew up in Sherwood Park, Alberta and attended the University of Alberta. Shortly after graduating, I moved to Abbotsford, BC and taught grades 2 & 3. I met my husband there and we moved to Vanderhoof, BC and started our family. I had the pleasure of staying home with my children during that time. My husband and I (and our children) made Fort McMurray our home 13 years ago. I was fortunate to teach English Language Arts to French Immersion students for 3 years at Ecole Dickinsfield where I gained a love for teaching reading and writing. I was excited to make the move to Christina Gordon in 2016, our first year as a school. This is my 6th year teaching grade 2 here and I feel so grateful to be part of this amazing CG family!
