My name is Tanya Drover and I am excited to be part of the Christina Gordon team! I have been teaching for over 12 years. My mission as a teacher is to inspire learning and creativity through creating an environment in which all students feel safe to share, learn, explore and express their thoughts. I understand that all students have different learning styles and as a teacher, it is my privilege to discover how each child learns best and integrate those styles into my teaching practice.

I grew up in Prince George, BC and attended UNBC and Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, BC. In 2004, my wonderful husband, Steve and I moved to Fort McMurray. I began teaching Grade 7 at Beacon Hill School and then later at Dr. Clark School. In 2008, my beautiful daughter Mercedes was born and the following year I transferred into Grade 4 at Dr. Clark School. I feel blessed to teach Grade 4 because there is so much wonder, growth, discovery and fun to be had. It is so exciting to see a child grasp a new skill or concept and gain confidence and be excited about learning. I consider it a great privilege and responsibility to be your child’s teacher and look forward to building relationships with my students and their families this school year!
