My name is Jen Africa and I am thrilled to be joining the Christina Gordon team this year as Learning Assistance Teacher.  I have been teaching for 18 years, in a variety of places including the Yukon, British Columbia and England. For the last four years I have had the privilege of working as the Learning Assistance teacher at Timberlea Public School and Ecole McTavish.

I am committed to creating a positive learning environment for all the children in our school and enabling them to become the very best they can be.  I enjoy collaborating with colleagues and working together to help our students to be successful and achieve their goals.. When I’m not at work, I enjoy reading, travelling and just hanging out with my own children.  I am excited to have the opportunity to work with you and your children this school year and I look forward to meeting you.
