My name is Tammy Grisch, and I am so excited to be a part of opening Christina Gordon Public School. This is such an amazing opportunity for our staff, the students and the community! Here is a little about me, firstly, I am originally from Muskoka, Ontario. When I graduated from teacher's college I moved to La Loche, Saskatchewan and I taught grade 3 there for two years. I rescued my best friend here and her name is Mika, she is the cutest dog out there! La Loche and my First Nation students will always have a piece of my heart. I moved to Fort McMurray in 2012, and have really grown an appreciation for this community as well. I am so happy to call here home! In the last 5 years I have taught all grades from ECDP to 4. I am so super thrilled to be back in grade 1 again, it is such an awesome grade to teach! My mission while teaching grade one is to pass on my passion for learning to my students. I really want my students to want to come to school and be excited to learn! I aim to have a student-focused classroom and to meet the needs of every child.
This is going to be a ONEderful year !
